JTM45 reissue modification.

This modification being performed will be a complete circuit board, output transformer and filter capacitor conversion to the 1960's specifications.

Here is a shot of the original chassis before any modifications.
NOTE:
A split cathode was added at sometime in this reissue's life.

Here is the chassis with the board, pots and input jacks removed.

Here is the old board after removal.

This is the board that is going to be installed. This board was made by Ray Domzalski and has 1W carbon film resistors, Sozo coupling capacitors, silver mica capacitors and original 60's turrets.

Top of chassis showing the removed OT and filter capacitors. The new F&T is installed, the other dual 16uf capacitor will require a custom made mounting bracket so it can be mounted in the existing larger hole.

OT has been installed and a plate was made to install the new LCR dual 16uf cap. Swamp resistors were also installed onto the output tube sockets.

Removed Drake output transformer.

Future OT for this JTM45 reissue is an Marstran 103 clone.

Feedback from the customer.

"This thing SMOKES. I got it yesterday afternoon. I put a Mullard recto in
there and put an RFT in V1 and couple of JJs in V2/V3. Plugged into a
Swanson Cab with G12H30s. Broke out an Anderson Classic T plugged straight
in and ran Blues Riffs until 2 AM this morning. Sounds great. Nice tight
bottom, shimmery highs, just the right grind when cranked. The OT looks
grand and Ray's board looks excellent in there (thanks Ray!). Nice work all
around. I am going to hook a Strat to it sometime today and a Les Paul or
two and see what happens. I am gonna take it to a New Year's party tonight.
These parties seem turn into mini-tonefests anyway. There won't be any
JTM45s there, so I am looking forward to smokin' a few amps (and heads).
Thanks for the great amp."
